How to Find a Transaction ID
Every blockchain transaction gets a unique identifier: a transaction ID (TXID) or transaction hash. It's a condensed digital fingerprint of the transaction, covering wallet addresses, timestamps and amounts. In Nicky, the transaction ID is used to verify that a payment is authentic.
Before you start
You should already have a Nicky account, a completed merchant configuration, a connection, an added or imported wallet, and a payment in progress up to step 5 (Confirming the payment).
Locate your transaction ID
- 1Open your wallet or exchange and find the section listing past transactions.
- 2Click the specific transaction you want to examine.
- 3Find the transaction hash (TXID) shown in the transaction details.
- 4Use the copy button to copy the ID, then paste it into Nicky's payment flow.
View on a block explorer
For more detail, use the View on block explorer link in the transaction details. It opens the right explorer for the network, such as Etherscan for Ethereum or BscScan for BNB Smart Chain.
